Dave Baker

Village President, Kronenwetter

Dave served as Marathon County Board Supervisor for Kronenwetter District 23 from April 2022 to April 2024. District 23 covers the northwest corner of Kronenwetter, bordered by the Wisconsin River, Village Way/County XX, County X/XX, and Happy Hollow Road/Bull Junior Creek.

After seven years in the Chicago area, he moved his family back to Central Wisconsin in 1993, settled in Kronenwetter, enrolled his children in Mosinee schools, and started a business in Wausau. He loves Marathon County and has no regrets.

Elected amid a wave of more conservative supervisors in April 2022, he served one term and says he fulfilled his campaign promise to work hard for his constituents. The views in this blog are his own and not those of the Marathon County Board or other supervisors.

In a smaller town, most candidates generally use mailers & knock doors. They typically don’t use social media or video so it’s the perfect opportunity. It’s like playing soccer after the goalie has already gone home.
