Campaign Case Study

Yauo Yang vs. 3 Incumbents

for Wausau School Board — Spring 2026

Yauo Yang had never run for office. In a six-way race against three sitting incumbents, he had no name recognition to lean on and no political playbook of his own — so we built one. Campaign management, consulting, PR, social media training, and full creative, end-to-end — a message so strong it drew support from key Democratic and Republican figures alike. The first-timer didn't just win a seat. He topped the ticket.

The Challenge

No experience. No incumbency. No problem.

Yauo faced five opponents — including three sitting board members with years of name recognition and voting records to run on. Yauo was starting from zero — no campaign infrastructure, no media training, no political brand. Everything had to be built, and it had to be built well enough to out-poll people voters already knew.

"Yauo walked in with zero political experience and walked out the #1 vote-getter over three sitting incumbents. Experience doesn't win races — connection does. Yauo brought in The Bluejack Group to move mountains & we did."
